After a briefing from your ranger guide, begin trekking the mountain gorillas through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. This can take a couple of hours or a whole day depending on the location of these cousins of man. While trekking for Mountain Gorillas keep an eye out for forest species such as buffaloes, elephants, black fronted duikers and bush bucks. It is a humbling experience to stand at least 7 meters from the Mountain Gorillas as they eat rest, play and bond with their young. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the Impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat and the many species they share it with. Coming face to face is one of the most amazing experience you can ever have, you will have a chance to observe and take pictures as you enjoy them from a close range observing adults feeding, groaning and resting as the youngsters play and move backwards and forward in a pleasantly comical demonstration. After an hour of direct interaction with the gorillas, retire to your lodge for relaxation.
Optional activities include community walk where you have a chance to interact with the local people about their way of life and survival in a misty montane tropical environment.
