The 7 Days Wildlife & Chimpanzee Safari is adventure that takes you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking with views of the green savanna flat landscape alongside exciting game drives which will enable you spot variety of animals and not forgetting boat trips to the bottom of the Murchison Falls and the Kazinga Channel.
You will equally take a hike to the captivating top of the Falls for an experience that brings all the senses into play: watch waves of white water tumble hypnotically.
Adventure through the Kibale forest to search for Chimpanzees in their natural habitat and Bigodi Swamp nature walk with a wide range of biodiversity including many species of primates. Amazing views of the escapements of Ruwenzori Mountain Crater Rift Valley Lakes and spot some animals on the road side.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda.
On arrival, you will be picked from the Airport by our Driver Guide. Meet and Greet. You will then be driven to your Accommodation for Dinner and Overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
After breakfast, start your trip to Murchison Falls National Park for your 7 Days Wildlife & Chimpanzee Safari. After a two and half hours’ drive, you will stop at Nakasongola, to visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking. You will spend 2 hours trekking Rhinos. Have Lunch here before continuing with your journey through Masindi up to the Park as you view the green savannah flat landscape. Arrive at your Accommodation in the evening, relax and retire to your Bed for a well-deserved rest.

Day 3: Game Drive & Launch Cruise
After breakfast, start an early morning game drive before dawn to catch up with the early risers. This exciting game drive will enable you spot animals like the Jackals, Hartebeests, Oribi, Bushbucks, Bohor reed bucks, Hyenas, Giraffes, Lions, Antelopes, Elephants and the Uganda Kob among the many.
You will return to your Accommodation for rest from the game drive and later on have Lunch. In the afternoon, you go for a Boat ride on the World’s longest river – The River Nile. The Boat trip will take you to the bottom of the Murchison Falls where animals like Buffaloes, Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants and plenty of water birds like Herons, Cormorants, Ducks, Bee-Eaters, Kingfishers, Skimmers, Fish Eagles, the rare Shoebill while many more species can be viewed from the peaceful sailing boat. The base of the Falls is itself an awe-inspiring moment.
You will equally take a hike to the captivating top of the Falls for an experience that brings all the senses into play: watch waves of white water tumble hypnotically through a six-meter chasm, listen to the roar, taste the spray on your face and feel the rock shake beneath your feet. Sheer sensory overload! After this experience your Guide will drop you back to your accommodation.

Day 4: Drive to Kibale National Park, Optional Village walk
After early breakfast, you will set off for Kibale National Park, the home of the famous Chimpanzees for your 7 Days Wildlife & Chimpanzee Safari. You will drive through Fort Portal, the “Tourism city of Uganda” at an average elevation of 1,523 meters above Sea level and have lunch enroute.
Driving through the traditional homesteads and farms will enable you enjoy the beautiful scenery across this part of the Country. Upon arrival, you could do an optional village walk for an insight into Uganda’s rich cultural heritage or simply relax and retire to your accommodation.

Day 5: Chimp Tracking and the Bigodi Nature Walk
Have an early breakfast, transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing before heading through the forest to search for Chimpanzees in their natural habitat. You will come close to Chimps and other primates like the red tailed monkeys, colobus monkeys and many more. The trek will enable you to see quite a number of primates, Birds and Butterflies through an arrangement of forest-sheltered trail. After a good time with the Chimps, return to the Lodge for Lunch.
In the afternoon you will go for the Bigodi Swamp nature walk. Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary situated in Magombe swamp is an appealing area to visit. The area is known for a wide range of biodiversity including many species of primates such as red colobus monkey, black and white L’Hoest monkey, colobus monkey, grey cheeked, vervet monkey, mangabey, red tailed monkey, blue monkey and baboon. Mammals like Sitatunga, Bush pigs, Bush bucks, Otters, Mongooses and Chimpanzees also visit the swamp from Kibale National Park.
Bigodi Wetland is a paradise for bird watchers. So far, 138 bird species have been identified in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. In the evening, head back to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 6: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
In the morning, set off for Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will reach in the afternoon. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of the most excellent treasures of Uganda and named after United Kingdom of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II when she visited Uganda in 1954.
As you drive into the Park you will be able to see the escapements of Ruwenzori Mountain Crater Rift Valley Lakes and spot some animals on the road side. You will have lunch and thereafter, go for an afternoon Boat ride on Kazinga Channel which is found in Queen Elizabeth National Park. The 40 km water channel joins Lakes George and Edward. Any Tourist to this Park cannot fail to be impressed by the Kazinga Channel’s astonishing variety.
This is where many Buffalos rest in the water while big herds of Elephants and different Bird species can be seen enjoying themselves along the Channel Banks. There are also concentrations of Hippos and Birds. In short, this water cruise offers an excellent platform for clear photography, extensive bird-watching and an all-embracing game viewing.
Majority of Visitors who participate in the 2-hour Boat Cruise along the Channel regard it as one of the highlights of their African Safari.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive and Return to Kampala
You will wake up for a very early Breakfast, and then set off for a short morning game drive, during which you could have a chance to spot some of the big five animals plus others like Hippos, spotted Hyenas, Stripped Jackals, Bushbucks, Waterbucks and Warthogs.
Retire from the Game drive and get ready to set off for your journey back to Kampala. You will have a Lunch enroute and have a stopover at the Equator. At this point, there are two cement circles marking the Equator line where you will have the water experience; a demonstration by Local Entrepreneurs on how water swirls in opposite directions in the northern & southern hemispheres at the Equator line.
You will also be able to stand both in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres at the same time! Not forgetting great shopping bargains for Crafts and other Souvenirs plus the Photo Opportunities.
Proceed with your journey, the Driver will drop you back either in Entebbe or Kampala at your accommodation or for your flight.
