The 8 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Sabinyo Hiking Tour  is an unforgettable Invigorating Experience that will take you to Lake Mburo National Park/ with an afternoon Boat cruise.
This Game drive will enable you spot some of the 68 Mammal species including the Warthogs, Buffalos, Oribi, Hyena, the Impalas, Burchell’s Zebra the Eland with Bird species like the rare Shoebill, red faced Barbet, saddle billed stork, brown chested lapwing among 350 others.

Visit Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is the Country’s smallest and is home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas but also shelters about 79 Bird species, the forest Elephants but is even more popular for the rare golden Monkeys. The Park also forms part of far larger, transboundary protected area that protects wildlife habitants on the Virunga volcanoes in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.

Hiking requires one to be physically fit and the right foot wear as it may involve climbing steep slopes with rough and slippery terrains.This normally takes about 7 to 8 hours for one to get to the top. There are three mountains to be hiked that is Mhavura (4127m), Gahinga (3473m) and Sabinyo (3674m) above sea level.

Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale is dotted with Islands and occupying a steep valley dammed by lava from nearby Volcanoes, Africa’s second deepest Lake is unforgettably scenic where you will visit the distinctive Abaheesi (Blacksmith) or to Bukora Cave and enjoy boat rides
alongside a stopover at the Uganda Equator to take photos at the Equator and visit the Craft and Souvenir shop at this site, spending about 40 minutes and then proceed to Kampala.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport.

You will be warmly welcomed and picked by our Driver Guide who will transfer you to your Accommodation and brief you about your tour in Uganda.
Depending on your arrival time, you will do a sunset Boat ride on Lake Victoria. It takes about 2 hours from 5:00 pm East African Time. Alternatively you can choose to stay and relax at your Hotel as you prepare for the next day’s journey.

Day 2: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park and Afternoon Boat cruise

This compact jewel of a Park is placed between Kampala and other protected areas of western Uganda. Herbivores in the seasonal wetland valleys and acacia grasslands that surround Lake Mburo include animals like Topi, Eland and Zebras that are rare or absent from other Parks. Upon arrival, have lunch and do an Afternoon Boat ride, then retire to your booked lodge in the evening after your Dinner on your 8 Days Bwindi Gorillas & Sabinyo Hiking Tour.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Transfer to Mgahinga National Park.

Have a very early morning Breakfast at 6:30 am or have it packed for you and begin your journey into the Park to catch up with the early risers. This Game drive will enable you spot some of the 68 Mammal species including the Warthogs, Buffalos, Oribi, Hyena, the Impalas, Burchell’s Zebra the Eland etc.
Also Bird species like the rare Shoebill, red faced Barbet, saddle billed stork, brown chested lapwing among 350 others. After the Game drive southwest towards with lunch enroute, to Kisoro where you will have an overnight.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Have a very early Morning Breakfast and along with your packed Lunch, set off to the Park headquarters for briefing before you start on this exciting unforgettable experience!
Gazetted in 1991, and with an area of 33.7square kilometres, Mgahinga National Park is the Country’s smallest and one of the only two Parks in Uganda that are home to the endangered Mountain Gorillas.
This park also shelters about 79 Bird species, the forest Elephants but is even more popular for the rare golden Monkeys.

The Park also forms part of far larger, transboundary protected area that protects wildlife habitants on the Virunga volcanoes in Uganda, Rwanda and Congo.
While at the Park, take note of the Monkeys with gleaming coats and Mountain Gorillas with silver backs and this is why the little Park is referred to as where “Gold meets silver”
After you Tracking expedition, retire to your Hotel and refresh yourself for dinner.

Day 5: Hiking at Sabinyo.

Following your morning Breakfast, you will be taken to Ntebeko reception by our Guide for your Hiking experience. Hiking requires one to be physically fit and the right foot wear as it may involve climbing steep slopes with rough and slippery terrains.
This normally takes about 7 to 8 hours for one to get to the top. There are three mountains to be hiked that is Mhavura (4127m), Gahinga (3473m) and Sabinyo (3674m) above sea level. Today you will hike Mt Sabinyo!

This name was derived from the structure and appearance of the mountain, it looks like a tooth hence its name Sabinyo literary meaning Old man’s Teeth. This mountain has three (3) peaks but while at the last peak (3rd) one is able to be in three countries i.e. Uganda, Rwanda and Congo at the same time without a Passport and Visa! This is because this Mountain borders the three (3) Countries. After this challenge, drive back to your Accommodation for a restful evening and Dinner.

Day 6: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi and Relax

Have your breakfast and proceed to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale at leisure. Dotted with Islands and occupying a steep valley dammed by lava from nearby Volcanoes, Africa’s second deepest Lake is unforgettably scenic.
This is one of the most beautiful places of Uganda. Being surrounded by hills, people call it “The Switzerland of Africa”.
Some of the optional activities that you can engage include;
• Visit the distinctive Abaheesi (Blacksmith) or to Bukora Cave
• Boat Rides

Day 8: Departure to Kampala/ Entebbe

After breakfast, checkout and start your journey to Kampala. Have Lunch enroute. After lunch, proceed with journey and make a stopover at the Uganda Equator, this point marks the internationally recognized imaginary line that divides Planet Earth into two equal Sections (North and South Hemispheres).

Take photos at the Equator and visit the Craft and Souvenir shop at this site, spending about 40 minutes and then proceed to Kampala.
Drop-off will be at your booked Hotel or for your flight at the Airport.
