9 Days Gorillas, Chimpanzees & Wildlife Safari takes you to westerly Lake Mburo National Park one of the smallest savanna vegetation parks in Uganda and en-route you will stop at the Equator and Game Drives, boat safaris and in Bwindi the Mountain Gorilla Trekking experience. The drive to the park is incredibly scenic, passing through various local villages and the lush green hilly Countryside which characterize so much of south western Uganda.
After a well-earned trip to the Gorillas, you could conduct a Batwa Experiece thereafter start your journey to the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will spot the plethora of wildlife found in the Park. Visit Kibale Forest National Park with a variety of resident primates and Uganda’s largest population of Chimpanzees and other primates.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Ndere Cultural Experience
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be picked by our waiting Guide. Meet and Greet, get briefed about your Tour, and continue to your booked Hotel. You will then get ready for not only a Barbeque Dinner but also an amazing Cultural Experience at Ndere Cultural Centre, “The home of Uganda’s Cultures”.
The Ndere Cultural Troupe is an internationally renowned and award winning group with over 100 performing artists that perform 3 days per week*, showcasing traditional music, dance and orchestration from the Great lakes region.
*This Program is on every Wednesday-7:00pm. Friday-7:00pm & Sunday -6:00pm

Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park; Afternoon Game Drive
After Breakfast, you will embark on a south westerly journey to Lake Mburo for your 9 Days Gorillas, Chimpanzees & Wildlife Safari. Lake Mburo National Park is located in Western Uganda approximately 240 kilometers (150 miles), by road from Kampala Uganda’s capital and largest city. The Park though the smallest in Uganda’s savannah vegetation, it has a variety of animals such as zebras, impala, buffaloes, and over three hundred (300) bird species.
Enroute to Mburo you will stop at the Equator (an imaginary line that divides the World into the Northern and Southern Hemisphere), where by way of a Water Experiment you will see the difference between the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. You will also visit the Crafts Shops.
You will have Lunch in the Park and do an afternoon Game Drive, then retire to your lodge for some rest.

Day 3: Nature walk with a Ranger and the Drive to Kisoro.
Take an optional guided nature walk with a Ranger Guide. After Breakfast you will start your journey to Kisoro near the border between Rwanda, Congo & Uganda for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is mostly famous for the rare Mountain Gorillas. The drive to the park is incredibly scenic, passing through various local villages and the lush green hilly Countryside which characterize so much of south western Uganda.
Once you are in the Forest Park, you will experience one of the richest ecosystems in Africa. The diversity of species is a feature of the Park. Bwindi provides habitat to some 120 species of mammals, 348 species of birds, 220 species of butterflies, 27 species of frogs, chameleons, geckos and many endangered species. Floristically Bwindi is amongst the most diverse forests in Africa, with more than 1,000 flowering plant species including 163 species of trees and 104 species of ferns.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Day.
Today you got to track the rare Mountain Gorillas! After briefing from your Ranger Guide, begin tracking the Mountain gorillas through the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest on your 9 Days Gorillas, Chimpanzees & Wildlife Safari. This can take a couple of hours or a whole day depending on the location of the Apes, therefore, don’t forget to carry your packed Lunch.
Keep an eye out for forest species as you track the Gorillas. When you finally come face to face with humans distant cousins as they eat, rest, play and bond with their young ones. Follow the Mountain Gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest and discover their gorgeous natural habitat plus the many species they share it with. It is a humbling and once in a life time experience to stand just meters from these Apes that genetically the closest to human beings! This takes about 3-4hours.
After a well-earned trip to the Gorillas, you will drive back to your hotel for an overnight. You can rest your tired legs and restorative massage, offered from the gorilla experience!

Day 5: Batwa Experience and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
After your breakfast, you could go for a Batwa Experience thereafter start your journey to the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Park covers an area of about 1978 Square Kilometres its position provides a magnificent view of the Rift Valley floor that occupies Lake Edward and George.
The Park has one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any national park in the world as its well known to be habitat of about 95 mammals along with 612 Bird species. Upon arrival, have lunch and rest at the lodge.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive and Boat Cruise in the Afternoon.
After an early morning breakfast, you go for your first Game drive through the Park. Your guide will help you spot the plethora of wildlife found in the Park. You will be able to spot a lot of the African animal wildlife like; elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds. They are all there!
After lunch, you will take a Boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Here, you will see a lots of hippos (more than you can possibly imagine!), as well as a variety of other animals which come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see: Buffalo, Crocodile, Bathing Elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your Tour.

Day 7: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park/Coffee Experience
After an early morning Breakfast, you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, a home to 13 species of Primates. The largely Forested Park, 795 square km in area is best known for the number and variety of resident primates and Uganda’s largest population of Chimpanzees.
Upon arrival, you will go for a Coffee Experience, get to know how it is planted, grown and sun dried. Find out how we use coffee in our culture, roasting and grinding it into organic Coffee Powder.

Day 8: Chimpanzee Tracking and Afternoon Swamp Walk.
Kibale National Park has one of the most lovely and varied tracts of tropical forest in Uganda. The Forest is interspersed with patches of grassland and swamp, dominant in the northern and central parts of the park on an elevated plateau. The Park is home to a total of 70 mammal species, mostly 13 species of primates which includes Chimpanzee. It also has over 375 species of birds.
Kibale neighbors Queen Elizabeth National Park to the south to create a 180km-long corridor for wildlife between Ishasha, the remote southern sector of Queen
Elizabeth National Park, and Sebitoli in the north of Kibale National Park. The Kibale-Fort Portal area is one of Uganda’s most appealing destinations to explore.
The park lies close to the quiet Ndali-Kasenda crater area and within half a day’s drive of the Queen Elizabeth, Rwenzori Mountains and Semuliki National Parks, as well as the Toro-Semliki Wildlife Reserve.

Day 9: Drive Back to Kampala
After Breakfast you will drive back to Kampala/Entebbe. You decide on where your driver drops you either for your flight in Entebbe or Accommodation.
