Known as the longest river on the continent stretching a 4000 miles journey from Uganda to the Mediterranean Sea through Sudan and Egypt, the Nile river source can be seen at Jinja. Attractions at Jinja

There are also several historical monuments around the source of River Nile which have a historical attachment to the Nile and these monuments are good for visitors to photograph.

From the shores of river Nile, visitors take a motorized traditional boat to the point where river originates from. This spot is very clear and well-marked with a sign post where you will stand besides for a photo-shoot.

You will also experience a very beautiful scenery along river Nile while it curves through Uganda’s communities and enjoy the sights of fishermen. Some of the sections of the shores of river Nile are surrounded by accommodation facilities and factories especially those near the source of River Nile.

There are several boats and a boat cruise along river Nile in Murchison falls is worth a visit. Karuma falls is another section of river Nile but this cannot be accessed by the boat or walking because of the rapid falls and rocks.
